On Friday, October 19, 2018, GPC Global Performance Commerce CEO Bruce Cran delivered a presentation at the John von Neumann Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to 20+ masters-level computer science students, who are studying the real-world application of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data science, cyber-security, and automation.

Bruce’s presentation, broadly geared around AI, machine learning, and its use for the future of eCommerce, touched on key areas GPC is applying the discipline to, including customer service, automation testing, programmatic media buying, logistics and fraud detection, among others.

Artificial intelligence – the ability for machines to think and learn like humans – is a concept known to many but understood by few. Developing AI-related capabilities for business use is a relatively new endeavor, but those companies willing to put the time, effort, and investment into the technology – GPC included – will be well-positioned for future success.
